Buy Smart. Buy Safe. Protect Yourself from Ticket Scams.

Nothing should stand between you and a great night at the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts. Unfortunately, across the country, fraudulent ticket resale websites are creating confusion, overcharging patrons, and in some cases selling tickets that do not even exist. We want to make sure our community knows exactly how to avoid these scams and purchase with confidence.

The Only Official Source for Baker Center Tickets

All legitimate tickets for performances at the Baker Center are sold exclusively through www.BakerCenterForTheArts.org using our secure On The Stage ticketing platform.
If you purchase from any other website, marketplace, or online reseller, we cannot guarantee the validity of those tickets, and you may be paying inflated prices or receiving seats that will not scan at the door.

How These Scams Work

Resale sites often appear at the top of search results and may use language that looks official. They list our events at much higher prices, add hidden fees, and sometimes issue fake barcodes. Patrons arrive excited for the show only to learn their tickets are not valid. We never want that to happen to you.

What to Do If You Were Misled

If you believe you purchased tickets from an unauthorized seller, take these steps right away:

  1. Contact your credit card company or bank and report the charge as fraud.

  2. Attach this letter from the Baker Center that will inform your cc company that the tickets are fraudulent: Verification of Fraudulent Tickets Letter
  3. Explain that the tickets were purchased through a third party that is not affiliated with the venue.

  4. Request a chargeback or refund due to deceptive sales practices.

  5. Keep copies of your receipt, confirmation emails, and the website link where you purchased.

We are happy to provide documentation confirming that the Baker Center only sells tickets through our official website to assist with your claim.

Help Us Protect Our Community

Ticket fraud hurts patrons, artists, and local venues. A national effort is underway to address this problem, and you can learn more about protecting yourself and advocating for change at https://www.nivassoc.org/fixthetix.

The best way to ensure a smooth and joyful experience is simple:
Start at www.BakerCenterForTheArts.org every time.

We cannot wait to welcome you to a show, and we want your focus to be on the music, the laughter, and the magic on stage, not on worrying about your tickets. If you ever have questions about a purchase, call or email our box office before buying. We are here to help.

See you at the Baker Center soon.

With Gratitude,

Jessica Goodson, Director of the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts
