Experience a powerful local story on the big screen with The Depot Film Premiere at The Baker Center.

Based on the acclaimed play The Depot by Southern Broadway, this feature film is a historical drama set during the early years of Coffee County and Enterprise, Alabama. The story explores a pivotal time in the Wiregrass region as local communities faced hardship, change, and uncertainty during the agricultural shift from cotton to more diverse crops, including the peanut crop that would help shape Enterprise’s future.

Through heartfelt storytelling and regional history, The Depot highlights the real-life struggles, resilience, and unity of a community forever changed by the destructive boll weevil and the innovation that followed. This premiere offers audiences a meaningful opportunity to celebrate local history, local storytelling, and the people and places that helped define our region.

This event is presented by our rental partner, Java Moody.
