After years of vision, planning, and construction, the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts is more than a new building—it’s a new beginning. Nestled in the heart of Enterprise, Alabama, The Baker Center officially opens its doors this fall, inviting our students, families, and community members to step into a space built for imagination, expression, and connection.

This stunning 50,000-square-foot facility represents more than bricks and beams. It’s a promise to nurture the arts, elevate local voices, and welcome regional and national talent to the Wiregrass. From the grand opening week to our first full season of programming, The Baker Center is poised to become the cultural heartbeat of Enterprise and the surrounding region.

The Baker Center’s debut lineup sets the tone for a future of artistic excellence. Our programming includes:

• Original works and performances by our own ESCC Fine Arts students and faculty.
• Acclaimed touring theater, music, and dance acts suited to all audiences.
• Arts festivals and interactive workshops that inspire the next generation of creators.
• Immersive experiences like tech tours, artist talks, and visual exhibits throughout the venue.
• This is a season designed to engage, elevate, and celebrate the arts in Enterprise.

All of this will begin with the “Meet Me at The Baker Center” Community Festival October 4th, 2025 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

But beyond what happens on stage, this center is about the people who will fill it with life—YOU. Whether you’re an ESCC student stepping into the spotlight for the first time, a patron experiencing a Broadway-caliber production, or a child picking up an instrument at our Musical Petting Zoo, The Baker Center is a space where all voices matter.

We invite you to be part of our story from the start.

Follow along as we unveil new events, artist features, community initiatives, and insider perspectives throughout the season. The curtains are rising—and you’re at the center of it all.
